Broadleaf Toothwort in Bloom

Broadleaf Toothwort (Cardamine diphylla) blooms on the woodland floor in early spring. Its delicate white, four-petaled flowers and broad paired leaves make this native member of the mustard family a characteristic spring ephemeral of rich deciduous forests in eastern North America.
